Michigan show topics

Here are some of what Borton and Britt will hit on Tuesday evening:

• Britt’s time as a Michigan Wolverine. He was a team captain and defensive stopper, exemplified by the fact that the program’s defensive player of the year award is named after him, and averaged over 10 points per game in each of his final three seasons in Ann Arbor. Fans remember him, among many things, for his corner jump shot before the three-point line existed. Britt went on to be the 60th overall pick in the 1976 NBA Draft to the Los Angeles Lakers. He played for the Detroit Pistons from 1977-78.

From his website: “He is a member of the Greater Flint Area Sports Hall of Fame and the Flint Area Afro-American Hall of Fame. He is passionate about getting results and serving others, and currently serves on the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Foundation Board, the Michigan Fitness Foundation Board, and the Trinity Health Michigan Board.”

• Michigan’s current basketball season. The Wolverines have lost five of their last seven games and appear a major long shot to make the NCAA Tournament.

• Harbaugh reportedly met with the Denver Broncos in person last week in Ann Arbor. That came over a week after Harbaugh and president Santa Ono said that Harbaugh would be returning to Michigan after looking at NFL opportunities. The two sides met without a deal, but reports out of Denver said the Broncos are going to make another run at the Michigan coach. However, those appeared to be unsuccessful, too, with the Broncos hiring Sean Payton.
