Wolverine TV podcast: NBA Draft decisions, takeaways from Michigan football's win total projection, more

TheWolverine.com‘s Clayton Sayfie and Anthony Broome discuss Michigan Wolverines basketball NBA Draft decisions, U-M football and Big Ten early game lines and over/under win totals and more. Topics for today’s podcast include:
• Michigan forward Moussa Diabate at the NBA Combine — Diabate impressed on the first day of the event. He was the best out of the centers in the max vertical leap, lane agility and shuttle run. His 36.50-inch max vertical leap was three inches higher than the second-best center, Arizona‘s Christian Koloko (33.50). Diabate was also 0.2 ticks faster than second place in the shuttle run, with his 2.90-second time. Diabate posted a 11.16-second mark in the lane agility drill. The Michigan forward also registered a 3.26-second three-quarter court sprint and 29.00-inch standing vertical leap, both of which ranked second among centers.
• Michigan wing Caleb Houstan and his situation — Like Diabate, Houstan received a combine invite, but he declined to participate. That led to speculation that he’s received a guarantee from an NBA team that told him to sit out. And now, the buzz has really started to heat up, with Houstan, who did not appear on mock drafts before this week, being projected as a first-rounder by some and early-second rounder by others.
• Over/under win totals set by Las Vegas oddsmakers — We go through each Big Ten team’s projected win total and discuss who will over perform or disappoint. Michigan’s was set at 9.5, and each host weighs in with takeaways on that number as well as other Big Ten teams’. We also talk about the early betting lines that were released for five Michigan games, with the Wolverines being favored in four out of five. Both hosts agree that one game in particular will go much differently than what Vegas is predicting.
