Newsstand: Behind the scenes with Jim Harbaugh at Michigan's pro day
Tweets Of The Day
The Los Angeles Chargers released a video of head coach Jim Harbaugh at Michigan’s pro day, his triumphant return to Ann Arbor after accepting the job out west. The video showed Harbaugh reconnecting with players, parents and others, along with watching — and raving about — quarterback J.J. McCarthy’s pro day.
“When I walked around that pro day, it’s like, ‘Oh, yeah, no wonder we won the national championship,'” Harbaugh said at the NFL meetings last month. “I had coaches, GMs coming up after meeting with your guys, they would say, [Pittsburgh Steelers head coach] Mike Tomlin said, ‘Gold-standard human beings. No wonder you guys won the national championship.’
“So, yeah, when you ask me what was it like to be there, that’s what it was like. To watch 18, 19, 20 guys that were at that pro day and know that their talent is that good and they developed themselves to get to that point … and then they all acquitted themselves really good in that pro day and at the combine. But they also won the good human being award, because they just are. That’s what their parents had poured into them. So, yeah, it was an A-plus-plus-plus [experience]. That’s how I felt.”
Michigan sophomore wide receiver Semaj Morgan said Thursday that the Wolverines have “dawgs” on the roster and provided some insight into how spring practices have gone.

“Spring ball, man, has been great,” the wideout said. “It’s been a great couple weeks for us, really. It’s been real chippy, it’s been real energetic at practice, real competitive. And I just love that about our team. We got a lot of dawgs on our team, and it’ll be fun to see us play come fall time.”
