Michigan football: Blake Corum becomes consensus All-American, two other Wolverines land on AP list
Michigan Wolverines football junior running back Blake Corum has become a consensus All-American, marking the 86th selection in program history, with the Associated Press, Football Writers Association of America (FWAA) and Walter Camp Football Foundation (WCFF) naming him to the first team. He has a chance to become the 22nd unanimous selection in program history if he lands on the first team for both the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) and Sporting News.
Corum is Michigan’s eighth consensus All-American during head coach Jim Harbaugh‘s tenure, which began in 2015. He joins cornerback Jourdan Lewis (2016), tight end Jake Butt (2016), linebacker Jabrill Peppers (2016), defensive tackle Maurice Hurst (2017), linebacker Devin Bush (2018) and defensive end Aidan Hutchinson (2021).

Corum missed most of the last three games with an injury but still finished with 1,463 rushing yards (eighth in the country) and 18 rushing touchdowns (tied for fourth) on the year. Corum has 22 runs of 15-plus yards, picked up 96 first downs (second nationally among running backs) and forced 73 missed tackles (tied for eighth).
The consensus first-team All-Big Ten selection was a Doak Walker Award finalist and finished seventh in Heisman Trophy voting.
He’s out the remainder of the season with a knee injury that required surgery.
Michigan graduate center Olusegun Oluwatimi has been named to the first team by the WCFF and FWAA, and was recognized as a second-teamer by the AP. He has a chance to become a consensus pick if one of Sporting News or the AFCA places him on the first team.
Oluwatimi won the Rimington Trophy (nation’s top center) and Outland Trophy (best interior lineman on either side of the ball), in addition to being named a first-team All-Big Ten honoree by the coaches (second team, media).

Michigan prepared to offer No. 1 recruit $10.5M over 4 years
Michigan graduate kicker Jake Moody has been picked as second-team All-American by the WCFF and Associated Press. Senior EDGE Mike Morris appeared as a second-teamer on the FWAA list.
Moody was a consensus All-American and the Lou Groza Award winner (nation’s top place kicker) a season ago. He’s made 26 of his 32 field goal attempts this season with a 54-yard long.
Morris ranks second in the Big Ten with 7.5 sacks on the season, despite missing two of the final three games. The Big Ten Defensive Lineman of the Year played only 11 snaps during that span, seeing some time early versus Ohio State before shutting it down. His 11.1 pressure rate ranks 15th in the country among edge rushers and his 23.8 pressure rate in true pass sets slots second among the same group.
Sporting News is set to announce its All-America teams Tuesday (Dec. 13), while the AFCA will follow up with its own lists Wednesday (Dec. 14).
