Michigan junior cornerback Will Johnson hasn’t allowed a touchdown on 415 coverage snaps over the last two seasons. He’s been targeted 55 times over the last two seasons, too, and has 5 interceptions in that span (4 in 2023, 1 so far in 2024). Johnson allowed 2 touchdowns as a freshman in 2022 but also had 3 picks that season.

“It’s a learning process and it’s growth, and that’s something that I have to come to a realization of, this isn’t last year’s team,” Edwards said. “This is team 145, not team 144. So that’s what stands out to me the most. We’re bonding together over that. We’re clicking together over that. And that’s what is ultimately going to continue to keep our brotherhood alive.”
Johnson discusses his family, which is his biggest motivation, and how it was his dream to play for Michigan.
“I want my legacy to just be someone that was a hard worker, that was there for his teammates. That you didn’t have to question what kind of guy he was … and he kept God first, which is most important.”
