Edwards discussed the confidence he has himself, displayed by some bold comments on a PFF podcast saying he will go down as one of the best running backs to ever play the game. He also talked about his potential involvement in the Michigan passing game as a receiver, which he’s done at times in the past.
“The way I look at is the best 11 players will be on the field, and whoever that is, at that time, whatever is best for the offense or for the team, it will have to be that player [on the field],” Edwards said. “I respect that, 100 percent, but the coaches know what I can bring to the table, and I’m confident they will utilize my skill set to the highest potential and allow me and every single person in the offense to help the team win, because that’s what’s important.”

Wilson, meanwhile, is also confident in his ability, and he’s ready to show that he can be most than “just a fast guy.” He rattled off all the ways in which he’s a dangerous player and talked about how he wants to earn a featured role in the Michigan offense.
“I feel like that’s going to take me to the next level. You can say Ronnie [Bell] was his go to receiver last year just reception wise, but that’s the key to every team, Wilson continued. “Every great QB has a great receiver with him.
“That’s just going to come down to how elite our passing game is going to be. Who can be that go to receiver … who is going to be dependable? I’ve got to be there, make plays when he wants me to. Even if I’m not open, I’ve got to make a play. That’s what it comes down to.”
