Then reports came out just before defensive linemen took the field for workouts Thursday that Smith will not go through on-field drills. Smith told NFL Network he tweaked his hamstring. He will participate in Michigan’s March 17 pro day, however.
“I have to kill it at my pro day,” Smith told NFL Network.

The Maize and Blue had a shot to win it at the end of regulation and one to tie it in double-overtime, and had a 7-point lead in the first extra session, but at the end of a thrilling 50-minute affair, it was the Illini who came out on top, 91-87.
