Michigan coaches have been all over the country seeing top recruits.

Michigan men’s tennis standout Benjamin Kittay was named Big Ten Player of the Week.

More from MGoBlue.com:
» Benjamin Kittay went 4-0 as No. 25 Michigan qualified for the ITA National Team Indoor Championship with wins in the ITA Kick-Off in Knoxville, Tenn.
» Kittay went 2-0 in singles and 2-0 in doubles as the Wolverines defeated Auburn 4-1 and No. 14 Tennessee 4-1.
» On Saturday (Jan. 25), Kittay won 6-3, 6-4 over Billy Blaydes (Auburn) at No. 2 singles. On Sunday (Jan. 26), Kittay stepped up after Michigan’s No. 1 player pulled out of singles. He defeated No. 34-ranked Alex Kotzen 6-3, 6-4 for his first ranked win of the season. Kittay is now 3-0 in dual singles.

Michigan women’s tennis standout Piper Charney was named Big Ten Player of the Week, as well.

More from MGoBlue.com:
» Piper Charney was named the Big Ten Player of the Week after helping Michigan qualify for the ITA National Team Indoor Championship with wins over Yale and UC Santa Barbara.
» Charney went 2-0 in singles action, dropping just eight games across two matches.
» She played at No. 2 singles, the highest she has ever played in the lineup, picking up a 6-1, 6-3 win over Yale’s Julia Werdiger and a 6-1, 6-3 victory over UCSB’s Marie Weissheim.
» Charney teamed up with freshman Jessica Bernales to go 1-1 at No. 1 doubles. The pair knocked off No. 9-ranked Amelia Honer and Marie Weissheim of UCSB 6-2 as U-M won the doubles point.

“Which ones?” was Michigan running back Donovan Edwards’ response when asked about how special one of his college football seasons was at the Senior Bowl.

“They were all special, for real,” he continued. “I’ll do you one better: I’ll take you back to the freshman year, winning the Big Ten championship [for the first time] in over 10 years and beating Ohio State. Sophomore year, winning another Big Ten championship — two-peat — beat Ohio State. Win a national championship the third year, beat Ohio State again.

“And then much respect to the Ohio State Buckeyes — we’ve gotta give it to them for the national championship,” Edwards said. “Congratulations to my boys. Also beat them four times in a row, so the guys over there can’t say nothing about beating us; they ain’t getting no gold pants, either.”

Quote Of The Day

“Another undersized prospect with great speed, Stewart was explosive off the edge in one-on-one drills, and multiple offensive tackles had trouble staying in front of him. He’s not just a speed guy, though. He has strong hands that can fight through the grip of blockers trying to slow him down.”
