How many preseason all-conference selections each Big Ten team has: Michigan with fourth-most

Lindy’s released its preseason All-Big Ten teams ahead of the 2025 campaign, and Michigan Wolverines football has the fourth-most selections in the conference (8) behind Ohio State (13), Oregon (11) and Penn State (9).
Sixteen of the 18 teams have at least one selection, with UCLA and Purdue not being represented.
Additionally, Washington, Nebraska and Maryland had no first- or second-team players — only representatives on the third team. Thirteen squads had first- or second-team standouts.

Michigan has two first-team honorees — senior kicker Dominic Zvada and senior linebacker Jaishawn Barham. The Wolverines possess five second-team mentions — junior running back Justice Haynes, graduate defensive tackle Rayshaun Benny, graduate EDGE TJ Guy, senior linebacker Ernest Hausmann and graduate safety Rod Moore. Junior cornerback Jyaire Hill, meanwhile, was listed on the third team.

Last season, Michigan had nine players earn All-Big Ten honors (first, second or third team). Only one of those players are still on the roster, however, in Zvada, a first-team pick and the conference’s Kicker of the Year. It’s important to note that Rod Moore was a third-team honoree in 2023, though, before missing the entire 2024 campaign with a torn ACL. Moore sat out this spring but is expected to play this season.
