Former Michigan Wolverines football defensive tackle Kris Jenkins is on the board with his first career sack, recording it in a 41-24 Cincinnati Bengals win over the Las Vegas Raiders.

The victory was crucial for the Bengals, who began the season 0-3 but have since won four of their last six games.

Jenkins’ sack came with 8:20 remaining in the fourth quarter and helped prevent a Raiders comeback. Cincinnati was up 31-17 at the time, and Las Vegas was driving at the Bengals’ 38-yard line. The first-down sack on quarterback Desmond Ridder was for a loss of 4 yards, setting the Raiders back behind the sticks. They turned the ball over on downs three plays later.

The former Michigan defensive tackle broke out for a career-high 5 tackles in the victory. The rookie is up to 14 tackles on the season.
