QB Jack Tuttle

Tuttle returned to being available for Michigan after missing the first five games with an injury. He took over in the first half of a 27-17 loss at Washington last week.

“First of all, it’s just a blessing to be able to play for such a great university,” Tuttle said. “I think obviously it wasn’t the outcome we wanted, but we learned a lot. Personally, there were a couple plays — two, three plays — that I feel like I wish I had back that could’ve won us the game. I think other people will have an evaluation, too, but I take responsibility for my mistakes, and I’m gonna be better for it.”

Tuttle also discussed finally being healthy and becoming Michigan’s lead quarterback.

“I just think more time with the team, more reps,” Tuttle said. “I’m super excited to be presented with this opportunity. But I really think personally that even when I was hurt, I was still preparing like I was going to play. I didn’t know if I was ever going to play or not, but … so that part really doesn’t change for me. But just taking more live reps, being with the guys, getting more chemistry is really what we’re trying to do.”

EDGE Josaiah Stewart

Stewart was asked to evaluate the Michigan team’s defensive performance in fourth quarters so far this season, with the team having issues in second halves.

“Up and down,” Stewart said. “We excel in different ways, but it just all comes down to finishing, especially in the fourth quarter.”
