Wolverine TV: Jesse Minter, Ron Bellamy preview Michigan State matchup, more

Michigan Wolverines football defensive coordinator Jesse Minter and wide receivers coach Ron Bellamy met with the media ahead of their fourth-ranked team’s game against Michigan State this Saturday night at The Big House (7:30 p.m. ET on ABC). Each coach spoke about their side of the ball, the MSU matchup and more.

Michigan is 7-0 in back to back seasons for the first time since 1974-75. Before this past weekend’s bye, the Maize and Blue knocked off then No. 10 Penn State, 41-17, to stay undefeated. Penn State is now No. 13. Michigan ranks No. 4 in both major polls and controls its own destiny in the Big Ten East.

Michigan State is 3-4 on the season but has some semblance of momentum after winning its first Big Ten game two weeks ago over Wisconsin in double overtime, before the Spartans had a bye week of their own. Head coach Mel Tucker is now 16-11 at the helm in East Lansing.
