Michigan Wolverines football head coach Jim Harbaugh met with the media Monday afternoon ahead of his team’s game against Michigan State Saturday night at The Big House. The head coach discussed the Spartans, how U-M’s bye week went and more.

Michigan is 7-0 in back to back seasons for the first time since 1974-75. Before this past weekend’s bye, the Maize and Blue knocked off then No. 10 Penn State, 41-17, to stay undefeated. Penn State is now No. 13. Michigan ranks No. 4 in both major polls and controls its own destiny in the Big Ten East.

Michigan State is 3-4 on the season but has some semblance of momentum after winning its first Big Ten game two weeks ago over Wisconsin in double overtime, before the Spartans had a bye week of their own. Head coach Mel Tucker is now 16-11 at the helm in East Lansing.
