Michigan baseball has officially qualified for the Big Ten Tournament after beating first-place Rutgers, 9-6 Thursday night at Ray Fisher Stadium in Ann Arbor. The event will be held May 25-29 in Omaha, Nebraska. Winning the Big Ten Tournament would give the Maize and Blue a berth to the NCAA Tournament.
This offseason, Josh Gattis left the Michigan Wolverines football staff to become Miami’s offensive coordinator. Thursday afternoon in Miami, Gattis was reunited with some of his former teammates on the Michigan staff in wide receivers coach Ron Bellamy and co-defensive coordinator Steve Clinkscale (Bellamy was the safeties coach last season, his first year on the Michigan staff).
All three coaches were at Gulliver Prep to see a pair of top 100 targets in five-star wide receiver Jalen Brown and four-star cornerback Daniel Harris.

Quote Of The Day
“Is this the best rivalry in college football? It’s either No. 1 or 2. Michigan beat the Buckeyes last season on its way to the College Football Playoff; that snapped Ohio State’s eight-game winning streak in the series. The Buckeyes have won 17 of the past 20 against the Wolverines, and the last time they lost two in a row to their archrivals was 1999-2000. Ohio State is the team to beat in the Big Ten this season, thanks to what should again be a prolific offense. Michigan last won in Columbus in 2000.”
— On3.com’s Mike Huguenin, who looked at the best matchups of the 2022 college football season by each weekend and ranked Michigan’s Nov. 26 tilt against Ohio State No. 1 for the final week of the regular season
