Former Michigan offensive tackle and Tennessee Titans standout Taylor Lewan has been waiting for another Wolverine to join the squad. Now he has one in running back Hassan Haskins, who rushed for 1,327 yards and a program-record 20 touchdowns in 2021, including five scores against Titans head man Mike Vrabel’s Ohio State Buckeyes (in a 42-27 win).

Lewan said the two Michigan men have stuck together during training camp.

Five-star Michigan target Nyckoles Harbor is an ‘athlete’ and can name his position at the next level — wide receiver, EDGE, etc. It’s up to him. Track times like the one below are a huge reason why.

Michigan alum Rich Eisen spoke at the Pro Football Hall of Fame Friday night, where in Canton, Ohio, he trolled Ohio State for losing to the Maize and Blue last November.

“Please silence all mobile devices,” Eisen told those in attendance. “Also, for your safety, I’m being asked to tell you, in the safety of all those in attendance, please take a moment to locate your nearest exit in case of an emergency. And if you need help locating that nearest exit, just think of yourself as a member of the Ohio State Buckeyes in the middle of the fourth quarter last November in Michigan Stadium. That’s the way you look for an exit!”

Eisen’s comments drew some laughs and plenty of boos from the Ohio audience.

“Oh yeah. I love doing this thing. Hold on a minute. Let me just get ready. I love doing this event. I love you people; I do,” Eisen said. “I check into my hotel here in Canton, Ohio. The person welcomes me to Canton, Ohio. I feel so welcome. And then he lowers his voice and he says, ‘Hey, Go blue.’ Like he’s embarrassed to say the words.

“And I told him, ‘Say it with your chest. You can say it 42 times, like we did against Ohio State last November.’

“But really, folks. No, really, folks, it’s OK. [Running back] Hassan Haskins just scored again.”

Michigan terminated hockey coach Mel Pearson’s employment. Pearson took the Maize and Blue to two Frozen Fours, including this past spring’s event. But he wasn’t able to survive, not after the WilmerHale law firm concluded its investigation on the program, but only after the report was leaked to the public three months after U-M received the results.

Quote Of The Day

“It’s definitely just doing things the right way, being somebody that everybody can talk to. I feel like those are two big things when it comes to being a leader. And, of course, performance. Showing the spark and the competitive edge you have in practice or in games, whatever. That way guys can join you not only because you’re easy to talk to — they respect you because of your game. Those are all the things that are very important.” — Michigan graduate wide receiver Ronnie Bell on what he’s looking to accomplish this season, speaking on the In The Trenches podcast
