LT Myles Hinton
Michigan had another slow start to the loss to Oregon last week, but came out strong in the second half. The Wolverines got a quick stop defensively, before the offense drove down and scored a touchdown to make it an 11-point game. Hinton discussed the mentality of the offense at that juncture.
“I feel like everybody in themselves kind of felt convicted to just not put — for lack of a better word — BS on tape,” Hinton said. “At halftime, we were like, OK, we have two opportunities. We can fold over and do nothing, or go out there and fight and win the game. And we came out with some fight. It was definitely a positive for the team. I think we can for sure build on that. We have three games left, so it’s not a ton of time, but it’s something that’s definitely a positive.”
Hinton discussed the first play of drives, too, which were lacking in productivity. Michigan averaged less than 3 yards per play on first down in general.

“It’s just a matter of doing your job and 11 playing as one,” Hinton said. “It’s doing what we need to do. There’s not much more to it.”
DT Kenneth Grant
Grant, one of Michigan’s starters on the interior of the defensive line, has played many more snaps this season than last, and he said it speaks to his preparation and recovery processes.
“It’s just a testament to my dedication,” Grant said. “Just trying to get my body right, keep my body right throughout the season. I feel like I’ve done a great job of that, and I’m not falling off or anything or being lackadaisical on game days. It’s a testament to the coaches and also a testament to me to keep my body right.”
