At the beginning of the show, the Michigan podcast hosts reacted to the news that the NCAA ruling for scouting allegations will be announced Friday.
“Gentlemen, we are Denard Robinson days until kickoff,” Sayfie said. “Sixteen days until we’re back in The Big House. It is getting very, very, very real.”
“And we are one day away from the NCAA’s decision on Michigan’s fate relating to signgate with Connor Stalions,” Balas said. “A lot of rumblings that the hammer is not coming. We’ll wait and see until it’s official before we celebrate. But you hear things, right? You would think that if it were something really, really bad, that it would’ve broken by now. But we’ll know tomorrow.

“I got a DM from somebody — like a second hand source — that said, ‘Hey, it’s just what most you and most of your colleagues believed that it was going to be — suspension for Sherrone Moore, a hefty fine and then show causes for Connor Stalions and Jim Harbaugh,’ which are not unexpected at all.
“But we’ll wait and see until it’s announced, and then we’ll have our columns on it from there. And then we’ll see what the aftermath is.
“It’s amazing, a lot of people on the Michigan side feel like they’ve been wronged, and some of them absolutely have. If the whistleblower’s identity is revealed, will that make them feel better? Will it shine some more light on how this whole thing got started and who’s behind it? I think it will.
“So, we’ll wait and see. But certainly not over yet.”
“Yeah, we’ve never made a definitive statement one way or the other, but I’ll make it right now, this is a pro-mental health podcast, and between football being here two weeks from now and this finally being in the rear view mirror — whatever shape that takes — I think that’s a load off of anyone who had a vested interest in it. Looking forward to that being in the rear view mirror.”
