Michigan is on fire on the recruiting trail, having landed several recruits in June and trending for a handful more. The hosts weighed in on how the Wolverines have gotten it done.

“I think you start with the intel, which is that on these visits it seems like Sean Magee has been more involved in them,” Broome said. “Him being sort of the general manager and the liaison between the football program and NIL and things like that, I think you’re able to sell kind of a more cohesive vision on what things might look like. I think that helps.

“Something else that we’ve talked about over the last several months is that when you look at a staff that is basically sort of starting over from scratch in a lot of ways with making contact to making in-roads with ’25s. Right now, this time of year is where you’re kinda really establishing a lot of relationships with the ’26 guys. But this staff right now is doing both of those things. I think that’s part of it.

“Being able to get guys on campus is certainly helpful, as well. I do think the NIL thing is starting to come around — I really do. And I know people get upset with ‘soon, soon, soon.’ But I really do think that when you talk to some of the people involved in the NIL world and the collectives, people involved with the Michigan program, it just seems like we’re finally in a spot where they’re building toward something and there is a cohesive vision, a cohesive plan. I know things are going to change with revenue sharing and all those types of things…”
