Giudice began his Michigan career as a defensive tackle, before former head coach Jim Harbaugh had the idea of moving him to the offensive line. He’s now climbed to the point of becoming the team’s starting center.
“It’s a pretty interesting journey, to be honest, but I’m grateful to be where I’m at now,” Giudice said. “I came in, actually, as a defensive tackle, and then after freshman or sophomore year, in between, moved to the offensive side of the ball. It honestly helped me a lot, because I had a lot of knowledge about how the defense works and how stuff is coordinated with the defense. I had a lot of insight from that.

“I played a little bit on offense, but just being able to learn the mental part after. Obviously, we had a lot of older guys when I came into the building — we had a lot of big-time offensive linemen. They were able to help me get to where I needed to be.”
Giudice has started all four games for Michigan this season.
Hill was asked where he’s improved the most since the start of Michigan’s season and how much of what he’s learned has to be taught in games versus practice. This is his first season as a starter, as well.
“Keeping my eyes, trying to make plays,” Hill said. “Trying to make plays.
“I feel like in practice, you try to work on how they move and stuff, how they play. Some teams, they always aren’t going to run the same. I try to like [think] what can I do to make sure they don’t beat me on certain routes, plays?”
Hill played perhaps his best game last week, notching 2 pass breakups in a 27-24 win over USC.
