On3 host J.D. PicKell — who can be heard on The Hardcount — is all in on Michigan quarterback signee Bryce Underwood. He believes he’ll be “that dude from day one.”

Michigan quarterback signee Bryce Underwood, a five-star+ prospect who’s ranked as the No. 1 player in the 2025 class, is the first player that On3 has ever given a 100 rating to.

More from On3’s Charles Power:
Any conversation about Bryce Underwood as a football prospect should start with his immense physical talent. In a cycle that is loaded with high-upside, athletic quarterbacks, none have shown a complete physical talent level that surpasses what we’ve seen from Underwood.

The Michigan signee has a massive frame at 6-foot-4, 215 pounds with 10-inch hands and very long arms. He’s a lean 215 and should top out well over 230 or 240 pounds. College coaches who heavily recruited Underwood feel that he has the potential to be a 240-pounder who runs in the 4.5’s before it’s all said and done.

Underwood is undoubtedly one of the top arm talents in the cycle. He has an explosive arm that is capable of attacking all areas of the field. There has been a legitimate ‘wow factor’ to watching him throw the ball on Friday nights, dating all the way back to his freshman season as a 14-year-old at Belleville (Mich.) High. The ball jumps out of his hand in a way that immediately catches your eye. Underwood generates considerable torque to uncoil his long arms, resulting in a whippy motion that produces very high RPM’s on the football. He easily pushes the ball 60+ yards downfield.

Michigan will officially host Notre Dame offensive lineman transfer Pat Coogan on a visit this weekend. He appears to be down to Indiana and U-M.

Quote Of The Day

“Underwood has all the tools you want in an elite signal-caller and is very deserving of his No. 1 ranking. Along with having a big frame, Underwood has superior arm talent and is a true threat as a runner. Keep in mind that Underwood is on the younger side for his grade, which means he still has plenty of room for growth and development as well. Michigan invested millions in Underwood this offseason, and he could be worth every penny.”
