Here’s part of what the Michigan running back said:
“I feel great. I feel great, man. I’m just blessed to finally be 98 percent back,” Corum said of how his knee is feeling. “We have camp coming up, and like I told everyone else, that next two percent is going to come over camp. But I feel great. I’m ready to attack camp August 1st, and bring home what the state of Michigan wants, and we all know what that is — that’s the natty.
“So I’m blessed. I’m blessed to see y’all here. Do one thing for me, give a big shout out to your parents for making this possible and bringing y’all out here. Give them a clap!
“Your parents bringing you, [without that], you guys wouldn’t be here, so make sure you thank them non stop. I thank all the parents for bringing their athletes out here. It means a lot.”

Added Corum, when asked why he chooses to give back to the community: “It was just how I was brought up. My parents raised me the right way. We’re firm believers in God, man. The way I was brought up, the way. … I’m blessed, and now I’m taking advantage of it, a lifelong dream to give back.
“And that’s something we all can do. Giving back isn’t just putting your money up. Giving back can be walking down the street and just asking somebody, ‘Hey, how you doing today?’ That goes a long way. He could be having the worst day of his life, and if you ask him how he’s doing, you could save him.
“It was embedded into me at a young age. I love giving back to my community, to the state of Michigan, even though I’m not from here.”
