Bio Blast: Meet four-star Michigan RB signee Jasper Parker
2025 New Orleans (La.) Archbishop Shaw four-star running back Jasper Parker officially signed with Michigan Wolverines football on Wednesday. Here’s everything you need to know about the physical runner.
The skinny
Height: 6-1
Weight: 200
Senior Stats: Recorded 1,501 all-purpose yards, including 1,353 rushing yards, 148 receiving yards, and 22 total touchdowns.
Industry Ranking: No. 26 running back, No. 356 overall
Interesting Facts: He’s high school teammates with four-star Michigan wide receiver commit Jacob Washington. The duo has helped their team go 10-2 so far, and they’ve made a playoff run, set to take on Madison Prep Academy Thursday (Dec. 5).
The recruitment
Michigan already had an offer out to Parker before running backs coach Tony Alford joined the program from Ohio State this past spring. But once Alford got to campus, he liked what he saw from Parker on film and put him in his top tier. Alford closed with Parker before his visit even ended, and he committed June 15.
Parker had offers from Alabama, Florida State, Oregon, Penn State and Texas A&M, but the main competition for his commitment was with Georgia Tech and North Carolina, with the other schools not necessarily pushing for his pledge at the time.

He said it
“I see myself fitting in really well [at Michigan]. I have versatility in my play style. I see their toughness and willingness to fight. They have tenacity and a great culture. I definitely think I’ll be balancing it out well with them.”
— Parker
They said it
“He’s not 4.3, but he’s 4.5-4.6 speed. He can run over you, he can shake you and he has good vision. We don’t throw to him that much, but he has great hands. He’s a very athletic kid. He’s tough. He makes all A’s. He has great leadership skills. He has a lot going for him.”
— New Orleans (La.) Archbishop Shaw head coach Hank Tierney
Scouting report on Michigan signee Jasper Parker
“Parker doesn’t do anything truly spectacular on tape. He has good size at 6-foot-1, 200 pounds and can easily play closer to 230 pounds at the next level. Parker is at his best running between the tackles. He’s capable of punishing defenders and gaining tough yards but also has enough speed to break off some long runs. Parker can be a consistent options in U-M’s offensive scheme and be a true chain mover for the Wolverines. I think he’s a much better version of Tavierre Dunlap.”
