Bio Blast: Meet three-star Michigan WR signee Jamar Browder
2025 Lake Worth (Fla.) Santaluces Community three-star wide receiver Jamar Browder officially signed with Michigan Wolverines football on Wednesday. Here’s everything you need to know about the playmaker.
The skinny
Height: 6-4
Weight: 205
Senior Stats: In the first seven games he averaged 20 yards per catch, turning 40 receptions into 801 yards and seven touchdowns. He had 2,075 yards receiving and 26 scores in his varsity career.
Industry Ranking: No. 92 wide receiver, No. 567 overall
Interesting Facts: He averaged 18.7 yards per reception as a junior, having long been a big-play threat. The Wolverines are adding a lot of size and contested catch ability with Browder joining the squad.
Recruitment
In recent months, Michigan prioritized Browder — due in part to the Wolverines wanting to get bigger at the wide receiver position — and they were able to flip him from his commitment to NC State in early November (the eighth of the month). Wide receivers coach Ron Bellamy brought him in on a visit in September and again in November, and Michigan was able to reel him in.
He said it
“The coaches were super down to earth and high energy. I loved the vibe of the players. It was awesome honestly. It was always cool to see that big M logo on TV. Now being able to see it in person and what it means was pretty cool.”

They said it
“Michigan needs size in its wide receiver room, and that’s exactly what Browder brings to the table. At 6-foot-4, 205 pounds, Browder is a big-bodied pass catcher who can go up and get it. Browder is physical and bit more filled out than fellow commit Jacob Washington. He has a terrific catch radius and great body control. Browder can get more flexible and improve as a pure route runner, but again, the potential is there.”

Scouting report
Browder is ranked as a three-star by all four major recruiting services. Only one service, Rivals, has him ranked as a Top 100 wide receiver nationally. I haven’t had a chance to see Browder live, but I do like what he’s put on tape as a senior. I have him in the high three-star/low four-star — similar to where I have Washington. Both have high ceilings but also have low floors. As mentioned, development will shape how they turn out in Ann Arbor.
