Michigan football opens the season against East Carolina this afternoon (noon ET at The Big House). In a social media post Friday, the Wolverines appeared to reveal their uniform combination for the season opener — blue tops with the traditional maize bottoms.
Michigan quarterback commit Jadyn Davis had another big game, this time in a 42-7 win. The game was televised live on ESPN. Davis completed 19 of his 26 passes for 264 yards and 3 touchdowns.
“Nothing, really, honestly,” Davis told ESPN of what he was trying to prove. “I have trust and faith in my guys. I know that we’re the best team in the country — that’s how we feel. … Expectations are extremely high for ourselves, and we know we haven’t played our best game of football this season. It’s crazy to think we can beat an amazing team 42-7 without playing our next game. So just looking forward to preparing for our game next week.”
Here’s a look at one of the Michigan pledge’s 3 touchdown passes on the night.
Michigan Stadium has new lights for the 2023 season. They can turn maize or blue, blink and flash. It should make for an exciting light show come the Sept. 16 night game against Bowling Green.
Michigan linebacker commit Cole Sullivan recorded 8 tackles and a quarterback hurry in a 47-6 win Friday night.

Quote Of The Day
“Their players, they’ve got really good players. Defensively, what did they give up? 16 points a game last year — now, that was last year’s team, I get that. But they got most of them returning, they did lose some players. But you know, programs like that, they just reload. They’ve lost, what? Three games in two years or something like that. So they’re used to winning, they’re used to having success. That means that they’re recruiting well. And then they just have outstanding talent. I mean, they don’t, they don’t do anything that’s, ‘OK, wow, what scheme is that?’ They have good schemes. [Michigan defensive coordinator] Coach [Jesse] Minter does a great job, he’s got NFL experience, he’s got a lot of NFL stuff in. But that’s not what worries you. What worries me is their defensive line can just explode off the ball and just throw the offensive lineman down, and go make the tackle. And then there’s like four other guys there when they make the tackle as well.”
