This is just the fifth time of eight home games this season that Michigan will go with its classic look. The Wolverines have won all four previous games, over Colorado State, Hawai’i, UConn and Maryland.

The Maize and Blue have switched up their uniforms quite a bit this season. In addition to the three aforementioned games with blue on blue, they went with white jerseys and blue pants at Iowa, white jerseys and maize pants at Indiana and white jerseys with white pants at Rutgers. It’s currently unknown what Michigan will wear against Ohio State in Columbus Nov. 26.

Festivities planned for Michigan football vs. Illinois at The Big House

Michigan will honor its fourth-, fifth- and sixth-year seniors before the game. Most have eligibility remaining and can return if they and the program come to a mutual agreement, but many of those decisions have yet to be made or become public.

There will be a pregame flyover consisting of A-10’s from the 127th Fighter Wing from Selfridge Air National Guard Base, plus a special presentation during the National Anthem. That includes the U-M Tri-Service ROTC being joined on the field by members of The Match-E-Be-Nash-E-Wish Ogitch-E-Daa Society to present two Eagle Staffs with the raising and lowering of the U.S. flag at the football game.

The halftime show features the Michigan Marching Band and Marching Illini combining forces to take a trip through the movies with the music of legendary film score composer Hans Zimmer. Together, the Michigan Marching Band and Marching Illini will take you through the far reaches of outer space, to the distant past, and to the vast depths of the ocean.

The 2021 women’s soccer team will be recognized during the game for its 2021 Big Ten Tournament title.

Michigan and Illinois kick off at 12:07 p.m. ET on ABC, with Sean McDonough, Todd Blackledge and Todd McShay on the call.
