Michigan Wolverines football kicked off June official visits by hosting a trio of important targets over the weekend. U-M also conducted its 2022 Big Ten championship ring ceremony, providing the prospects a sneak peak at what it’s like to celebrate a title.

Here’s a look at some social media sights and sounds from the recruits’ time in Ann Arbor.

First, the visitors list:

• Four-star WR Jordan Shipp, Charlotte (N.C) Providence Day

• Four-star EDGE Brian Robinson, Austintown (Ohio) Fitch

• Four-star EDGE Jacob Smith, Chesire (Conn.) Academy

Jordan Shipp

Shipp brought his family and got to spend time with Michigan wide receivers coach Ron Bellamy. The group snapped some photos at The Big House, the largest stadium in college football with a capacity of 107,601.

The four-star wide receiver is ranked the No. 380 overall prospect in the country, per the On3 Indusry Ranking.

He’s a N.C. State lean, according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, which says there’s a 49.7-percent chance to land in Raleigh. Michigan is second at 23.9 percent. Shipp is set for an official visit to the Wolfpack this coming weekend.

Brian Robinson

Based on his social media, Robinson regularly eats a big breakfast. And considering that official visits are on Michigan’s (seemingly unlimited) recruiting budget, the Wolverines treated over the weekend. He went to highly-touted Anna’s House the first day, before U-M made him a hearty breakfast on Day 2. The latter featured Michigan’s signature waffle with a block ‘M.’

Robinson has visited Michigan more than any other school — eight times unofficially, plus this past weekend’s official trip. He’s set to see Kentucky (June 9) and Penn State (June 16) over the next two weekends.

Those two and Michigan are seen as the top three contenders. It’s important to note, however, that the Wolverines have an expansive EDGE board and appear to be in on several different highly-ranked players at the position.
