Michigan Wolverines football will hold its annual Maize vs. Blue spring game Saturday (April 19) at The Big House, the largest stadium in college football. The intrasquad scrimmage will be aired on tape delay eight days later, April 27, on Big Ten Network. There will be no live radio broadcast.

On the ‘In The Trenches’ podcast, official kickoff time will be 12:05 p.m. ET. Admission is free for Saturday’s scrimmage, the first look at the 2025 Michigan football team, the second squad for head coach Sherrone Moore.

Moore will serve as “commissioner,” while there will be “head coaches” and “owners” for each of the Maize and Blue teams. Those coaches and owners are expected to be announced soon.

Here are the full rules and parameters that Jansen revealed on his podcast:

Sherrone Moore pleased with Michigan’s spring

Moore recently joined Big Ten Network to preview Michigan’s spring game. He said he’s been pleased with the team’s 12 practices so far.

“ Just the team feel,” Moore said about what he’s liked the most. “I feel like we have a really close team of young men who abide by our motto, ‘team over me.’ Everybody’s done everything right. Everybody has attacked the process.

“So it’s been fun, man, having great coordinators, great coaches, and even better players. They just made it a fun environment. It’s great to be out on a football field and not sitting in an office and really going to battle. It’s been an awesome spring so far.”

Michigan will debut its new offense under coordinator Chip Lindsey, who was in the same role with North Carolina the past two seasons. The Wolverines will pass more than in the past.

“ We’re always gonna have the style, the mentality to run the football and be physical in the run game and in the passing game,” Moore said. “But doing things a little bit differently at times, whether it be movement-wise or past concepts that we’re doing a little bit differently. He’s brought a cool little twist to what we’ve done here before to make it even better.”
