2024 Springfield (Ohio) High four-star cornerback Aaron Scott will decide between Michigan, Ohio State and Oregon July 30. Before then, though, Scott was repping some U-M cleats and gloves at a Dayton-area 7-on-7 event. The On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM) has the Buckeyes as the favorite at 95.9 percent, with U-M standing second at 1.2 percent.

West Virginia transfer Jose Perez, one of the top remaining guards in the portal after entering several days ago, is scheduled to visit Michigan July 28-30. Trilly Donovan first broke the news on Twitter Tues., July 11. California, Gonzaga, Oregon and Xavier are other top contenders. Perez has one year of eligibility remaining.

Perez began his college career at Gardner Webb prior to stops at Marquette, Manhattan and West Virginia. He did not play last season at WVU, after his waiver request for immediate eligibility was denied by the NCAA.

On3 host J.D. PicKell makes the case for Michigan football’s Jim Harbaugh — the 2021 AP National Coach of the Year and 2022 Big Ten Coach of the Year — as a top-five coach nationally.

Quote Of The Day

“That was one of the conversations me and [Michigan head] Coach [Juwan] Howard had when he was recruiting me — ‘we’ve both got things to prove here.’ Of course, they made it to high levels before, but doing it again and again with consistency is something that I know Coach Howard is looking for as a coach. For me as a player, I’m looking to come in and play with a chip on my shoulder. That’s definitely one of the big things that drew me toward Michigan. I’m used to be an underdog, and from the looks of it, we have a lot of doubters, too. Being able to come out there with this opportunity, I know that we have the pieces to be successful.”
