Michigan football is headed to Indianapolis for the Big Ten Media Days, which will take place July 23-25. The Wolverines are the last day (July 23), and head coach Sherrone Moore will be in attendance along with a trio of veteran players in senior running back Donovan Edwards, graduate safety Makari Paige and senior fullback/tight end Max Bredeson.

Michigan football also had representatives at the ESPYS Thursday night. Running back Blake Corum and cornerback Will Johnson were nominated for best championship performance for the national title game win over Washington, while the entire team was up for best team.

Eighty percent of the members of Michigan football’s 2025 recruiting class are four-star recruits. That blue-chip ratio stands as the fifth-highest in the country at this point, behind Oregon (94 percent), LSU (93 percent), Georgia (89 percent) and Florida State (82 percent).

The Detroit Tigers have recently beaten teams from Ohio, most notably taking three of four games from division rival Cleveland, the Red Wings had success against Columbus last season and Michigan football hasn’t lost to Ohio State since 2019.

Michigan is the first school to send five different wrestlers to a single Olympic Games and just the sixth to have a rep on both the U.S. freestyle and Greco teams in the same year.

Quote Of The Day

“He has the NFL pedigree. It’s easy to see it. He’s a smart player. He’s well-rounded. He primarily plays safety at his high school. The first thing that sticks out about him is his fluidity in his movements. He is a very loose flexible athlete. He changes directions very well. He looks like the son of an NFL player with his ability to always be in a good position. He’s rarely caught napping and plays with a high level of awareness.”
