Michigan will go with blue tops and maize pants, along with white accessories for Saturday’s game against Michigan State. The Wolverines are seeking their 74th ever win over the Spartans.

Michigan is expected to start senior quarterback Davis Warren at quarterback Saturday, according to a report from CBS Sports. TheWolverine.com’s Chris Balas provided intel on the quarterback situation in Friday morning’s Inside The Fort, as well.

Warren started Michigan’s first three games of the season, going 2-1 with wins over Fresno State and Arkansas State and a loss to Texas. He hasn’t played since. Junior Alex Orji opened the next three outings, also going 2-1, before graduate Jack Tuttle started the last game at Illinois.

Warren has completed 66.7 percent of his passes for 444 yards and 2 touchdowns with 6 interceptions.

Michigan is expected to host top-100 Georgia cornerback commit Shamari Earls this weekend. The Wolverines are gaining steam quickly in his recruitment.

Quote Of The Day

“I thought [freshman guard] Phat Phat Brooks came in and really gave us a jolt in the first half. When you look at our bench production, I don’t even call those bench points because I look at those guys as starters. Those guys have all performed really well over two games. It shows the depth that we thought we had. We do in fact have that depth.”
