Michigan unveils uniform combination for top-10 showdown with Texas
No. 10 Michigan Wolverines football will host No. 3 Texas for the first top-10 non-conference showdown in The Big House since 1994. Michigan has revealed its uniform choice for Saturday’s game, with the Wolverines announcing they will wear their traditional blue uniforms with blue pants.
Michigan wore blue jerseys with maize pants for last week’s 30-10, season opening victory over Fresno State.
This will be the 19th time in Michigan history that the Wolverines sport blue pants, including the 11th occurrence at home. They’re 17-1 overall and 10-0 at home with the look. The lone loss with blue pants came at a neutral site, a loss to Georgia in the 2021 College Football Playoff semifinal at the Orange Bowl.
Michigan wore its blue on blue combination for five games last season, including big-time victories over Ohio State and Washington in the national championship game. The Wolverines won all five, of course, finishing the year 15-0 with the program’s 12th-ever national championship.

Michigan is excited for its first big game of the season, taking on Texas, which beat Colorado State 52-0 last week.
“We’re super excited for the challenge,” Michigan head coach Sherrone Moore said. “We’ve got a really good football team coming in, in all three phases.
“Yeah, I think it’s exciting for our players, for the program, for the fans, everything. You want these type of games. You want these atmospheres. You want these building blocks to help you mold your team and really get where you need to be.”
