Michigan center Dominick Giudice discusses his nickname, ‘Dommy Mutz.’

“I don’t have my chain on me right now, but it says [Mutz] on my chain,” Giudice explained. “My nickname is Dommy Mutz, but Mutz for short, just because I’m Italian from Jersey. I used to eat mozzarella — my mom used to pack me fresh mozzarella — so in middle school everyone started calling me Mutz, because I would bring Mutz to school and hand it out to all the kids. It’s stuck with me. I got a chain that says it, too. I mean, it just sticks with my personality, being a loud, Italian guy from Jersey.”

Former Michigan quarterback and current media personality David Cone breaks down junior cornerback Will Johnson’s pick six against USC. Johnson is now the program’s all time leader in interceptions returned for touchdowns.

Quote Of The Day

“Coach Harbaugh actually pulled me into his office right before my sophomore season and said he had an idea about me moving to the offensive side of the ball. I was a little surprised, honestly. I liked playing defensive line, but I thought it would be a great opportunity, because obviously Coach Harbaugh has made decisions with other players like that before, and it’s worked out, as you’ve seen with Mike Sainristil and some other guys. I wouldn’t not trust his judgement, so if he saw that as a good fit for me … obviously I thought about it a little bit, but I thought it was something that would work out for me. Clearly it has, thank God.”
