• Moore on punter Tommy Doman: “We challenged him at the beginning of the week. … He definitely responded.”
• Moore on Michigan State having good receivers: “Especially [freshman Nick] Marsh. He’s a freshman, but he doesn’t play like a freshman.”
• Moore is praising the way cornerbacks Jyaire Hill and Aamir Hall played with Will Johnson out the majority of the game last week. He said the Wolverines wanted to be more aggressive against Illinois. He said it’ll be a “mix up” against Michigan State tonight.
• Moore on what Michigan players have stepped up as leaders this week: “I have a meeting with the captains every Tuesday. Donovan and Colston on offense. Josaiah Stewart on defense.”
• Moore on how practice went this week: “Energy was high, focus was locked in and they’re excited.”

Michigan in team warmups

Senior quarterback Davis Warren was the first quarterback in during team warmups. Graduate running back Kalel Mullings was also with the starters. The offensive line has left tackle Myles Hinton back. Senior Greg Crippen was at center, and junior Andrew Gentry will make his second career start at right tackle.
Junior Jayden Denegal appears to be the second quarterback in during team warmups, while junior Alex Orji has been third. That may not mean that’s the pecking order during the game, but it’s worth noting.
