Live updates: Michigan vs. Minnesota

• 4Q, 1:37 — Max Brosmer finds Daniel Jackson for a 12-yard touchdown. Michigan’s lead is only 27-24. The Gophers will try an onside kick.

• 4Q, 4:33 — Michigan converted on two third downs on a drive that lasted 6:32, capped off by a 35-yard field goal by Dominic Zvada. That gives the Wolverines some more cushion, a 27-17 lead.

• 4Q, 11:05 — Minnesota quickly cashes in with Darius Taylor punching in a 1-yard touchdown. Michigan leads 24-17.

• 4Q, 11:52 — Michigan’s offense goes three-and-out. Koi Perich returned it 60 yards down to the U-M 23-yard line. The Gophers are in business down just 14 points.

• 4Q, 14:01 — After a hands-to-the-face call on Mason Graham on fourth down that extended Minnesota’s drive, the Gophers scored with Darius Taylor rushing for a 3-yard score. A 10-yard reception by La’Meke Brockington got the Gophers down near the goal line. Michigan’s lead is only 24-10 now.

• End of the third quarter: Michigan 24, Minnesota 3. Minnesota has the ball 1st and goal at the U-M 26-yard line.

• 3Q, 4:00 — Alex Orji went deep for Colston Loveland over the middle. Ethan Robinson picked it off, marking Orji’s first interception of the season. Minnesota takes over on its own 24-yard line.

• 3Q, 6:05 — Michigan’s defense comes up with the stop, thanks to two-straight tackles by Ernest Hausmann. Tyler Morris returned the punt and the Wolverines will take over on their own 28-yard line.

• 3Q, 7:36 — Michigan leads 24-3 after a 53-yard field goal made by Dominic Zvada into the wind. Michigan went for 4th and 1 from its own 34-yard line to extend the drive early.

• Half: Michigan 21, Minnesota 3

• Minnesota went deep with Max Brosmer hitting Nick Kallerup at the 1-yard line. The Gophers had two seconds to rush their field goal unit on the field, and Dragan Kesich got off and made the 20-yard kick. Michigan leads 21-3 at the half.

• 2Q, 1:54 — Michigan punts after another three-and-out, with Minnesota taking over at its own 22-yard line with halftime approaching.

• 2Q, 3:41 — On the first play of Minnesota’s possession, the Gophers took a deep shot, and Jyaire Hill intercepted it along the sideline at the 40-yard line.

• 2Q, 3:57 — Mason Graham gets a third-down sack. Minnesota punted, with Kechaun Bennett blocking the punt. Christian Boivin recovered the block. Michigan started on the Minnesota 11-yard line. On the first play, Alex Orji found Tyler Morris for an 11-yard touchdown. Michigan now has a 21-0 lead.

• 2Q, 6:11 — Michigan gores three-and-out for the second time today. Minnesota takes over on its own 42-yard line.

• 2Q, 8:59 — Kalel Mullings gets his second touchdown of the day. This one was from 1 yard out in the I-formation. The Wolverines lead 14-0.

• 2Q, 10:25 — Michigan gets its first turnover of the day, with Zeke Berry forcing a fumble and recovering it after Daniel Jackson got the reception. The Wolverines start at the Minnesota 14-yard line.

• 2Q, 11:25 — Michigan picked up one first down but ends its four-play drive with a punt that ended up in the end zone for a touchback. Minnesota takes over at its own 20-yard line.

• 2Q, 12:59 — Sherrone Moore’s decision to punt on 4th and 1 pays off. The Michigan defense gets a three-and-out, and the Wolverines will take over on their own 39-yard line after the punt.

• End of the first quarter: Michigan 7, Minnesota 0. The Gophers will begin the second quarter with their third drive, which starts out at their own 13-yard line after a 41-yard punt by Tommy Doman.

• 1Q, 2:01 — Michigan came up with another third-down tackle for loss, this time with cornerback Jyaire Hill making the stop. Dragan Kesich attempted a 55-yard field goal but missed it short and right.

• 1Q, 6:34 — Michigan running back Kalel Mullings scores the first touchdown of the day, a 27-yard run to put the Wolverines up 7-0. The Maize and Blue drove 79 yards in nine plays. Alex Orji was 2-of-3 for 17 yards passing on the drive.

• 1Q, 11:31 — Michigan takes over on its own 21-yard line following Minnesota’s first possession. The Golden Gophers picked up one first down but were stopped on third on the next set of downs, with Max Brosmer’s pass to Darius Taylor going for a loss of yardage. Ernest Hausmann made the tackle for loss.

• Michigan has won the toss and chosen to defer its choice to the second half. Minnesota will receive to begin the game.
