The No. 1 team in both major polls, Oregon, has taken down defending national champion Michigan. Oregon improves to 9-0, while Michigan falls to 5-4 and is still not bowl eligible.

Michigan ran a trick play with wide receiver Semaj Morgan throwing an incomplete pass intended for quarterback Alex Orji on fourth and goal from the Oregon 5-yard line. The highlights of the drive were a third-down pass for 16 yards to Tyler Morris, a 19-yard run by Donovan Edwards and a 26-yard run down the sideline by Orji.
Oregon now takes over on its own 10-yard line.

Atticus Sappington made a 26-yard field goal to cap off an adventure of a drive. Michigan got off the field, forcing a three-and-out, but Trey Pierce lined up over the long snapper on the punt — an illegal formation on the defense — extending the possession. The Wolverines also had a 12 men on the field penalty on that drive. Oregon marched to the 8-yard line, but Michigan got a stop on third down, finally, with Dillon Gabriel’s pass intended for Justius Lowe falling incomplete. Freshman cornerback Jo’Ziah Edmond was in coverage.
Oregon leads 31-17 with 0:36 to go in the third quarter.

Michigan back in the game with stop and score

That’s O’Leary’s second career touchdown reception.
Michigan’s 75-yard scoring drive spanned 10 plays. The Wolverines are down 28-17 with 7:09 remaining in the third quarter.

Oregon went 10 plays, 94 yards in 4:41. There’s 4:19 to go in the first half. Remember, Oregon gets the ball to begin the second half.
