Live updates: Michigan vs. Rutgers

• Final: Michigan 31, Rutgers 7

• 4Q, 1:00 — Michigan has run on all but one play and looks poised to run the clock out, with the score 31-7.

• 4Q, 12:38 — Michigan uses a big catch by Colston Loveland to march down the field. Blake Corum drags defenders into the end zone for a 5-yard score. The Wolverines lead, 31-7.

• End of the third quarter: Michigan 24, Rutgers 7. The Wolverines have 2nd and 10 on their own 44-yard line.

• 3Q, 4:31 — Rutgers runs a screen pass on 4th and 2. After the ball was batted around, Mike Sainristil grabbed it, stayed up and returned the interception all the way 71 yards for a touchdown. Michigan leads 24-7 with 4:31 to go.

• 3Q, 7:00 — Michigan begins with an 8-minute drive that fizzles out but ends with a 46-yard field goal by James Turner. The Wolverines now lead 17-7.

• Half: Michigan 14, Rutgers 7. The Wolverines will receive to begin the second half.

• 2Q, 1:41 — J.J. McCarthy finds Semaj Morgan on a slot fade for an 18-yard touchdown. The Wolverines lead 14-7.

• 2Q, 7:25 — Michigan forces a Rutgers punt for the second time today. Tyler Morris fair catches it at the U-M 21-yard line, where the Wolverines will take over and look to take the lead.

• 2Q, 9:35 — Michigan was called for a delay of game ahead of the 37-yard field goal attempt, which backed it up to a 42-yarder. James Turner missed the kick. Rutgers takes over at its own 23-yard line.

• 2Q, 14:55 — Rutgers false started in its offensive formation ahead of 4th and 1. The Scarlet Knights attempted a 51-yard field goal but missed. Michigan starts at the U-M 34-yard line.

• End of the first quarter: Michigan 7, Rutgers 7. The Scarlet Knights are facing 4th and 1 on the U-M 27-yard line.

• 1Q, 5:56 — A fake reverse flea flicker and J.J. McCarthy hitting a wide-open Colston Loveland for a 35-yard gain down to the 2-yard line allowed Blake Corum to punch in the short touchdown. Michigan ties the game at 7-7 after a 7-play, 94-yard drive.

• 1Q, 9:27 — Michigan forces a Rutgers punt — that went 75 yards down to the 6-yard line — after a Derrick Moore tackle for loss on third down.

• 1Q, 12:27 — Rutgers takes over on its own 21-yard line after a Tommy Doman punt. Michigan’s first possession of the day was a three-and-out.

• 1Q, 14:00 — Gavin Wimsatt hits Christian Dremel over the middle, and he breaks free for a 69-yard touchdown to give Rutgers a 7-0 lead. Michigan safety Rod Moore missed the tackle on his third play of the season in his debut for the year.
