• 4Q, 3:23 — Michigan walk-on running back Isaiah Gash runs it in from four yards out for a touchdown to make it 52-17.
• 4Q, 4:43 — Injury timeout for a hurt Rutgers player. Michigan has 1st and 10 on the RU 16-yard line, with Davis Warren in at quarterback.
• 4Q, 11:18 — Jake Moody makes a 29-yard field goal to take a 45-17 lead.
• 4Q, 12:07 — Donovan Edwards breaks a 46-yard run down the right sideline down to the Rutgers 15-yard line. Michigan has 1st and 10.
• 3Q, 0:27 — Michigan takes a 42-17 lead behind a 6-yard touchdown pass from J.J. McCarthy to wideout Cornelius Johnson.

• 3Q, 6:53 — Michigan almost immediately capitalizes on Rutgers’ interception, with running back Blake Corum running 8 yards on the first play and scoring from 2 yards out on the next down. The Wolverines have a 28-17 lead.
• 3Q, 7:39 — Gavin Wimsatt’s pass is intercepted by Michigan graduate linebacker Michael Barrett, who returned it to the Rutgers 10-yard line.
• 3Q, 8:24 — Michigan quarterback J.J. McCarthy connects with running back Donovan Edwards for a 14-yard, contested catch in the end zone. The Wolverines now lead 21-17 after the touchdown pass.
• Half: Rutgers 17, Michigan 14. The Wolverines ran a two-minute drill and got down to the 32-yard line, before Jake Moody missed another 50-yard field goal.
• 2Q, 1:44 — A 48-yard pass from Gavin Wimsatt to Chris Long sparked a Rutgers touchdown-scoring drive. Wimsatt finished it off with a 3-yard scoring toss to wideout Sean Ryan. That gave the Scarlet Knights a 17-14 lead with 1:44 to go in the half.

• 2Q, 11:38 — Michigan picked up one first down but was forced to punt for the second time tonight. Brad Robbins booted it away 43 yards and Rutgers sets up shop at its own 35-yard line.
• 2Q, 13:33 — Michigan notches a red-zone stop and forces a 32-yard field goal attempt by kicker Jude McAtamney. The kick was good to make it 14-10, Michigan.
• End of the first quarter: Michigan leads 14-7. The Scarlet Knights are driving, thanks to a 37-yard pass from quarterback Gavin Wimsatt to wideout Sean Ryan. Michigan senior cornerback DJ Turner was beat in coverage. Rutgers has first down and 10 yards to go on the U-M 20-yard line.
• 1Q, 1:46 — Michigan got down to the goal line again, and once again scored on fourth down after being stopped three times. This time, J.J. McCarthy crossed the goal line on a quarterback sneak to make it 14-7 after the Jake Moody made extra point.
• 1Q, 5:02 Rutgers attempted an onside kick but it was recovered by the Wolverines at midfield.
• 1Q, 5:04 — Michigan picked up one first down but was forced to punt. Graduate Brad Robbins’ punt was blocked and returned for a Rutgers touchdown to tie the game at 7-7. Timmy Ward scored the touchdown for the Scarlet Knights. The play came three downs after J.J. McCarthy missed a wide-open wideout Andrel Anthony on a deep ball.
• 1Q, 7:49 — Seven of Michigan’s nine opponents have gone three and out to start the game this season. The Maize and Blue forced second- and third-down incompletions to get off the field. Rutgers’ punter was hit as he kicked but got it off, and got a fortunate bounce. Michigan starts its second drive on its own 18-yard line.
• 1Q, 8:47 — After stopping Michigan three times at the goal line, Rutgers allows the Wolverines to score a 1-yard touchdown on a rush from junior running back Blake Corum. U-M ran seven plays inside the red zone. The opening drive spanned 12 snaps and 75 yards. It was started by a 35-yard play-action pass from sophomore quarterback J.J. McCarthy to graduate wide receiver Ronnie Bell. Michigan leads, 7-0.
• Rutgers won the coin toss and chose to defer to the second half. Michigan will receive.
