• Final: Michigan 27, USC 24
• 4Q, 0:08 — Michigan’s defense comes up with a turnover on downs. The Wolverines will kneel and win the game.
• 4Q, 0:37 — Kalel Mullings scored on 4th and goal from the 1 and a half yard line to put Michigan up 27-24. The Trojans have no timeouts left.
• 4Q, 2:00 — Michigan has 1st and 10 from the USC 17-yard line after Kalel Mullings ripped off a 63-yard run on 3rd and 1.
• 4Q, 7:01 — On 3rd and 16 from the Michigan 24-yard line, Miller Moss found Ja’Kobi Lane for a touchdown to give the Trojans their first lead of the game — 24-20.
• 4Q, 8:19 — Michigan running back Donovan Edwards fumbled (forced by Eric Gentry, recovered by Gentry) at his own 18-yard line. That’s where the Trojans take over, down 20-17.
• 4Q, 11:00 — Michigan’s offense still hasn’t picked up a first down this half. The Wolverines punted to USC, which takes over at the 20-yard line.
• 4Q, 12:36 — Michigan’s defense gets a three-and-out, and the Wolverines will take back over at their own 33-yard line. The Maize and Blue haven’t gotten a first down since the 2:23 mark of the second quarter.
• End of the third quarter: Michigan leads 20-17. The Wolverines are set to punt it away to the Trojans following a second-consecutive three-and-out.
• 3Q, 1:27 — Michigan EDGE Josaiah Stewart forced a fumble on Miller Moss as he was starting to throw on third down and goal. The fumble was recovered by Kenneth Grant, who was then stripped by Woody Marks. USC recovered and had new life with 1st and 10. The Trojans scored two plays later, with Miller Moss hitting Jay Fair for a 16-yard touchdown. Michigan leads 20-17.
• 3Q, 5:26 — On 3rd and 3 from the USC 41-yard line, Miller Moss threw to his left but was picked off by Will Johnson, who returned it 42 yards for his second pick-six of the game. Michigan now leads 20-10, since Dominic Zvada missed an extra point.
• 3Q, 6:58 — Michigan goes three and out on its first possession of the second half. After a 9-yard punt return by Zachariah Branch, USC takes over on its own 34-yard line.
• 3Q, 9:10 — USC drove down near Michigan’s goal line and faced 3rd and 5 from the 9-yard line. Miller Moss found Duce Robinson for a touchdown to cut the Michigan’s lead to 14-10.
• Halftime: Michigan leads 14-3. Kenneth Grant notched a sack on the final play of the half to prevent the Trojans from scoring.
• 2Q, 1:40 — USC takes over at its own 8-yard line after a Michigan punt. The Trojans will look to get some points before halftime, down 14-3.
• 2Q, 4:15 — Michigan had USC in a 3rd-and-11 situation, and Makari Paige almost got the sack on Miller Moss on a safety blitz. But Moss got the ball off to Zachariah Branch, who picked up 42 yards to the Michigan 6-yard line. The Wolverines’ defense held the Trojans to a field goal (29 yards from Michael Lantz). The Wolverines lead, 14-3.

• 2Q, 7:14 — Michigan gets its second touchdown of the day with running back Donovan Edwards ripping off a 41-yard score. The Wolverines lead 14-0 after a Dominic Zvada extra point.
• 2Q, 10:47 — Greg Crippen has checked in for Michigan on its fifth drive of the game.
• 2Q, 10:47 — USC got its first, first down of the game but still punted. The Wolverines take over on their own 30-yard line.
• 2Q, 12:07 — Michigan punts it back to USC, which takes over on its own 13-yard line.
• End of the first quarter: Michigan 7, USC 0. The Wolverines are facing 3rd and 4 on their own 31-yard line.
• 1Q, 1:00 — Michigan forces another three-and-out, coming up with a 3rd and 1 stand on a run up the middle to Woody Marks. The shanked punt went out of bounds at the 25-yard line. The Wolverines have the ball back up 7-0.
• 1Q, 3:10 — Michigan running back Kalel Mullings broke a 53-yard touchdown up the middle, marking the first score of the game. Dominic Zvada’s extra point gave the Wolverines a 7-0 lead.
• 1Q, 4:50 — Michigan’s defense forces another three-and-out. Josaiah Stewart got home for a sack on 2nd and 5 for a loss of 9 yards. The Trojans completed a screen pass that was blown up by Ernest Hausmann on third down. Makai Lemon, USC’s featured wide receiver, is receiving medical attention.
• 1Q, 6:37 — Michigan goes three and out and decides to punt on 4th and 2. Tommy Doman’s punt landed in the end zone for a USC touchback. The Trojans will start at their own 20-yard line.

Series Facts: This will be the 11th meeting between Michigan and USC, and the first meeting as Big Ten opponents. Eight of the previous 10 matchups came in the Rose Bowl with the Trojans holding a 6-2 edge. Michigan won both previous regular-season games in 1957 and ’58. USC won the last meeting between the schools, 32-18, in the 2007 Rose Bowl. The 1958 game at The Big House was a 20-19 Michigan victory.
