Significant rule change coming to college football? Here's what it could mean for Michigan
This week, the 40-person NCAA Division I council will vote on a legislative proposal that would allow college football analysts and other support staff members to coach on the field during practice and games. Currently, only the head coach, 10 assistants and four graduate assistants can coach on the field. According to On3's Pete Nakos, the expectation "in the college football world" is that "the vote will pass," even though the council initially rejected the move in spring 2023.
