Michigan Wolverines football junior Amorion Walker had a unique offseason. After winning the national championship, he transferred to Ole Miss. He spent a semester there, before entering the portal again and quickly winding up back at U-M. He also switched back to wide receiver — where he played for the Wolverines in 2022 before moving to cornerback in 2023.

Michigan held an in-house media day, including for NIL, this week — and Walker showed that he’s sticking with jersey No. 1. He wore that last season, after donning No. 4 as a freshman in 2022. Junior linebacker Jaishawn Barham is sporting No. 1 on the defensive side.

Michigan throws it back to junior wide receiver Tyler Morris‘ huge touchdown catch in the Rose Bowl, which put the Maize and Blue up 13-7 late in the second quarter. That play, which Morris has caught numerous replays of, has given him confidence heading into the 2024 campaign.

“I definitely needed it in that time,” Morris said of the play. “It was something that I did, and you kinda reassure yourself that, ‘I can do it.’ And it was on the biggest stage, so just being confident — confidence is everything. When you believe in yourself and you know what you can do, then it makes everything else easier.”

Michigan alum Sophie Linn has been selected to represent Australia at the Olympics in Paris in the triathalon.

The Wolverine recruiting insider EJ Holland has logged a prediction for Michigan to land hree-star Stockbridge (Ga.) High linebacker Chase Taylor, who is currently on his official visit for Victors Weekend.

Quote Of The Day

“Speaking to [head] Coach [Sherrone] Moore was probably the best thing. We had that 1-on-1 time, and he let me know that I am a priority in the 2026 class. He said they are going to do whatever they can to get me there. He said I’m going to be a Michigan Wolverine in 2026. He’s just a great guy. He’s very genuine. I could tell was telling the truth. He has my best interest at heart.”
