Newsstand: Michigan hockey arrives for Frozen Four in Saint Paul
Tweets Of The Day
Michigan hockey has officially arrived in Saint Paul, Minnesota, for its NCAA-leading Frozen Four appearance. The Wolverines will take on Boston College Thursday night (8:30 p.m. ET on ESPN2).
Michigan head coach Brandon Naurato said last week that while his team wasn’t winning at a high clip earlier in the season, it always had the capability that it’s finally showed down the stretch.
“We’ve always been a good team,” Naurato said. “The record wouldn’t indicate that with the injuries and not getting things done in the third period, whether you’re up or down a goal. But it’s just the belief in there, how close they are that they believe they can do it. And now they feel like there’s no way it doesn’t happen.
“So when they go out [now], they’re just making it work. It’s the confidence within the group and the leadership.”
Michigan junior defensive tackle Kenneth Grant is ranked as the No. 6 interior defensive lineman in the nation by PFF and is primed to have a big season in 2024.

Quote Of The Day
“It’s electric. It’s awesome. We love doing it every day at practice. It’s physical practices, especially with the position, especially with what I do. I love being the stereotypical fullback with a lot of the violent downhill plays that we go with. And I also love doing the outside perimeter blocking stuff. The ‘smash’ personality is a real thing and something I love doing, and this whole team revolves around.”
