Tweets Of The Day
No. 7 Michigan hockey got a big win over No. 10 Penn State Friday night in front of a sold out Yost Ice Arena crowd. Goaltender Erik Portillo turned aside 51 of 54 shots for a new career-record in saves. Forward Adam Fantilli netted 2 goals and 2 assists, and his brother, Luca Fantilli, scored his first career goal.
Michigan football promoted analyst Kirk Campbell to quarterbacks coach, the program announced Friday. Now, co-offensive coordinator Sherrone Moore is likely the sole coordinator, after the Wolverines fired former co-coordinator Matt Weiss.
“Kirk is a bright, young offensive mind that immediately meshed with our coaching staff last year,” Jim Harbaugh said in a statement. “Our offensive staff was really impressed with his knowledge and expertise of the entire offense, and he was integral to the success of the offense with game planning and opponent scouting. Kirk does an outstanding job developing relationships and I know he will have an outstanding rapport with our quarterbacks. We are excited to have Kirk and his wife, Lauren, as well as their daughter, Riley, continue as members of our Michigan Football family.”

Quote Of The Day
“Michigan has very hard running and ground-and-pound type of game. That’s exactly the type of style that I really like. I see a lot with [me and Corum] because of the explosiveness. That’s one of the key things that I really like about [Michigan’s running backs].”
