Michigan hockey rolled to victory over Colgate in the first round of the NCAA Tournament, winning 11-1. The Wolverines will take on Penn State in the second round Sunday at 6:30 p.m. ET on ESPN2. In total, 16 of 19 Wolverine skaters recorded a point. Seven skaters had multiple points, including Rutger McGroarty’s hat trick. Eleven goals is the highest amount a team has scored in an NCAA Tournament game since 1961.
Horne “toasted Michigan for 19 points on 3 of 5 three-point shooting in a win this year. He’s made 249 career triples between Illinois State and Arizona State in his career,” The Wolverine’s Chris Balas wrote.
“The 6-1, 175-pound Raleigh, North Carolina native averaged 12.5 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 2.4 assists this season on 36.9 percent shooting from the field, On3 reports. Michigan point guard Frankie Collins, of course, transferred to ASU in the offseason.”
Valiant Management Group teamed up with the Michigan Army National Guard once again for an NIL event.

Quote Of The Day
“I was a fan for sure. My cousin played at Ohio State, but I was never really a huge, diehard Ohio State fan. I would say I was more of a Big Ten fan. Being from Ohio, I feel like there’s a lot of Ohio State fans there but I’m cool with all my people back home having to root for Michigan. The real ones will. I guess we’ll see who doesn’t.”
