Michigan Wolverines softball is moving on. The Maize and Blue notched a gritty 2-1 win over South Dakota State Friday, and will face UCF in the winners’ bracket. Here are three things to know about Friday’s game, courtesy of MGoBlue.com:
• Michigan opened NCAA Regional play with a 2-1 win over South Dakota State.
• Lexie Blair delivered a bases-loaded, two-run single down the left field line in the fifth; Blair and Kristina Bukrhardt posted two hits apiece.
• RHP Alex Storako allowed one run on three hits and three walks with three strikeouts through 6.2 innings; LHP Meghan Beaubien used a game-ending punchout to secure the save.

• Rutgers scored its each of its seven runs with two outs, with five of them being unearned.
• Michigan scored five times in the fifth inning to tie the game, punctuated by Joe Stewart’s three-run homer.
• U-M took its first lead in the sixth on an RBI double from Jimmy Obertop.
Detroit King five-star quarterback Dante Moore visited Michigan Friday, and told our EJ Holland he had a great time. That marked Moore’s third visit to U-M this calendar year, and the Wolverines remain firmly in the mix for the No. 8 overall player’s services.
