“I was told not to say anything, but yes. I’m sure they aren’t going to be upset when they see … I’m glad you asked it, because I wasn’t gonna say anything,” Burke said on the Politely RAW podcast when asked if he’s had communication with Michigan about his jersey being honored.
“I have heard that it will happen. It will happen. Bucket list for me.
“I appreciate everything that university … I appreciate them, they appreciate everything they did for me and my family as well, though.
Michigan has five jerseys up in the rafters, one “retired” and four others “honored.” Cazzie Russell’s No. 33 is retired and can’t be worn by Michigan players, and his banner is joined in the rafters by No. 22 Bill Buntin, No. 35 Phil Hubbard, No. 41 Glen Rice and No. 45 Rudy Tomjanovich.
“That’s some great company to be in. I was super excited to hear that, for sure.”
When Burke returned to Michigan for the 10-year reunion of the 2013 team that made the national championship game, he discussed the possibility of being honored.

Quote Of The Day
“I was just going into my other visits like it was going to be the same, but the Michigan visit really stood out to me. They had a whole presentation for me … obviously, every school gives a presentation, but Michigan was really in detail with what they want from me, really in detail what they like about me.”
