Wilson discussed his ridiculous touchdown catch that opened the scoring in Michigan’s 45-7 win over Nebraska over the weekend in which he pinned the ball against a defender’s helmet and still came down with it while keeping his feet in bounds.

“When J.J. threw it, I thought it was going to be perfectly right over their head. But I think the wind might have taken it a little bit. So it was right behind the guys, so I could see clear as day. I just went up and grabbed it. The dude’s head was in between me and the ball. I made sure not to let go of the ball, so I just brought it down with me.”

Added the Michigan receiver of bringing his feet down in bounds: “Definitely think about it, but it just happens naturally like, oh yeah, catch the ball, and then I realize I don’t really know where I’m at in the end zone, I don’t know if I’m at the edge of it or inside, so I just click my feet down really quick out of instinct.”

Edwards, meanwhile, discussed his start to the season, which has been a bit underwhelming compared to the high expectations he set for himself and outsiders placed on him. He’s rushed 47 times for 157 yards, averaging 3.3 yards per carry after registering 7.1 yards per attempt last season.

“It’s a slow start, of course,” the Michigan running back admitted. “But there are more games to come. I’m not trippin’ at all — not one bit. I know that I get bashed a little bit — and critics are critics; who cares. But at the end of the day, I know what I can improve on, I know what I’m doing well, and that’s all I can continue to do is be me, not get down on myself, just keep my head up and continue to work. That’s what I’m going to continue to do; that’s what I’ve been doing my whole life.”
