Michigan forward Gregg Glenn III entered the NCAA transfer portal last week and found a new home relatively quickly. According to Stadium’s Jeff Goodman, Glenn made a pledge to Tulane Tuesday afternoon.

Glenn, a 6-foot-7, 230-pound Pompano Beach, Fla., native, played in four games off the bench as a freshman in 2022-23. He totaled 6 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists in 11 minutes of mop up duty.

Glenn was a four-star recruit and the nation’s No. 116 overall player in the 2022 class, according to the On3 Industry Ranking. However, he didn’t find a role in his first year at Michigan despite the Wolverines needing help at the power forward spot.

Michigan has had three players enter the transfer portal this offseason — Glenn, center Hunter Dickinson (undecided) and guard Isaiah Barnes (Tulsa). Glenn and Barnes will compete against one another in the American Athletic Conference.

Tulane finished third in the AAC last season, going 13-5 in league play and 26-9 overall. The Green Wave did not make the postseason, however, after losing to Memphis, an NCAA Tournament team, in the conference tournament.

Bart Torvik’s T-Rank projects Tulane as the No. 87 team in the country next season, and Glenn as the Green Wave’s seventh-most impactful contributor. The site predicts he will average 3.7 points, 2.6 rebounds and 1 assist per game.

Former Michigan safety R.J. Moten started 15 games over the last two seasons, but decided to hit the transfer portal after this year’s spring practices. After just over a week, Moten has found his new home, committing to Florida Tuesday afternoon, according to Gators Online.

Moten’s father, Ron Moten, played linebacker at Florida in the 1980s and was a sixth-round NFL Draft pick in 1987. Moten, who has two years of eligibility remaining, took an official visit to Florida over the last week, along with his father.

Moten joins former Michigan linebacker Deuce Spurlock, who also transferred this offseason, in Gainesville. He participated in the Gators’ spring practices after enrolling this semester.

Michigan’s team trip across the East Coast just finished up its second leg. The Wolverines enjoyed New York City and now Washington D.C., and are headed to Gettysburg before finishing up with Cleveland and Canton earlier in the week.

“Last year has just showed me throughout the time, I am still getting stronger, even though I felt 100 percent in the beginning. Throughout the season, I started to feel even better than I did in the beginning. I just feel like I’m just going to continue to get stronger with time.”
