The Michigan Wolverines are back in the win column after a 24-17 win over Michigan State on Saturday night in Ann Arbor, but there is not much time to bask in the result. A game against the top-ranked Oregon Ducks follows this weekend in Ann Arbor, and not many will give U-M a puncher’s chance this week.

According to the opening odds released on Sunday, the Ducks opened as a 15-point favorite over the 5-3 Wolverines in their first matchup as Big Ten opponents. FanDuel Sportsbook, as of Monday morning, has Oregon as a 15.5-point favorite with the over/under for total points set at 45.5.

Oregon is 8-0 this season and is coming off a pair of blowout wins at Purdue (35-0) and last week at home against Illinois (38-9). The Ducks are in the driver’s seat in the Big Ten thanks to a 32-31 win over the Ohio State Buckeyes on Oct. 12.

Michigan quote of the day

I thought it worked well. You know, at first it was a little slow. And in the first quarter, the first couple of drives of the half didn’t really go the way we wanted to.That’s when the challenge was set to O-line. Because I thought he was doing a good job with his job. I thought the flow with him (Davis Waren) and Alex was really good. And Alex, he had like 64 yards rushing. Definitely gave us a boost offensively. You know, they tried to play a lot more hats in the box.
