Newsstand: Michigan players Jett Howard, Jace Howard, Tarris Reed Jr. to hold youth camp
Tweets Of The Day
Michigan freshman guard Jett Howard, junior guard Jace Howard and freshman forward Tarris Reed Jr. will hold a youth camp Sunday at Ann Arbor (Mich.) Huron from 1-5 p.m. ET. The camp is open for children ages 6-16 for $125.
Wisconsin didn’t make a field goal in the final 10:45 but still beat Michigan by five points. The Wolverines’ offense had its third-worst showing of the season at 0.9 points per possession and sputtered down the stretch for the second straight game, and a second consecutive loss.
After rallying back from 12 points down to get within one point, Michigan closed out the game making just 2 of its last 11 shots from the field. Freshman point guard Dug McDaniel got the ball taken from him by Wisconsin guard Chucky Hepburn facing a four-point deficit with 16 seconds to go.
Junior center Hunter Dickinson — the focal point of the Michigan offense — didn’t attempt a shot from the field in the final six minutes, though he did get to the foul line twice and make 3 free throws.

Michigan junior forward Terrance Williams II was out with a bruised knee, so Tschetter had to slide into the starting lineup. Tschetter started the game strong, making some plays out of the high post, complementing Dickinson well. He had 4 points on 3 shots with 1 assist in the first half, before going 0-of-2 from both the field and free throw line, as mentioned, after that.
Howard wore a ‘Free Juwan’ tee shirt before the game. His father, Michigan’s head coach, was suspended five games following a postgame incident at Wisconsin last year.
Quote Of The Day
“Coach [Ron] Bellamy said he doesn’t really like talking to the kids about NIL until they actually come,” Stewart said. “He doesn’t want that to be the only reason kids come. I don’t really ask about it. I want playing time. If I get playing time, NIL will come.”
Bolingbrook (Ill.) High four-star wide receiver I’Marion Stewart
