The Michigan Wolverines made a heavy NIL investment in running back Justice Haynes this offseason, and he continues to rake in the dollars as a college athlete.

According to On3’s Pete Nakos, Haynes signed a deal this week as an equity partnership with Loom Juice, which was facilitated by his agency ESM. He now hows an interest stake in the company through the NIL deal.

“Justice’s influence extends beyond the football field,” ESM’s Dan Everett told On3. “His commitment to excellence and authenticity aligns seamlessly with Loom Juice’s mission to promote holistic wellness. This partnership exemplifies how athletes can leverage their platforms for meaningful, long-term brand engagements.”

Loom Juice is “known for its innovative approach to health-conscious beverages,” and “views this alliance as a strategic step to deepen its connection with a younger, health-aware demographic.”

Michigan added Haynes via the transfer portal in December to add to a tandem with sophomore Jordan Marshall at the position. The On3 Industry Ranking had him as the No. 3 back in the portal and 43rd overall.

“Playing against Michigan in the Rose Bowl, I saw firsthand how disciplined and physical they were,” Haynes said during spring ball. “That game really gave me a different level of respect for this program.

“I wanted to go somewhere that felt like a brotherhood, that cared about doing things the right way, not just on the field, but off the field, too. Everything I saw from Michigan in that game and after, it just aligned.”

Michigan quote of the day

“ I will say that he is unequivocally the number one receiver in that room, and that concerns me a little bit. And you’re talking about fair or not, he was kind of an Indiana castoff, right? He got passed over for whatever reason, and then in October, he hit the transfer portal last year and I think sometimes a change of scenery does a guy good. And I think that’s gonna be the case with him and I think he’s gonna have a good year.”
